Gameplay Engineer

Job Purpose:

Apply your passion for creating unforgettable online games and join an ambitious team to craft a deeply connected experience. Using Unreal Engine 5, collaborate with designers and other engineers to code complex and innovative features. Own and improve large systems. Maintain latest technology knowledge and push boundaries of game creation. 

Key Duties Include:

    • Communicate and work with a wide range of disciplines to help shape designs into reality, through prototyping and rapid iteration. 
    • Develop core gameplay, multiplayer and networking systems in Unreal Engine. 
    • Write fluent code that is structured and organised, with appropriate use of data structures and abstractions to solve problems. 
    • Take ownership of key deliverables and drive them forward to delivery. 
    • Design sensible abstractions to construct complex systems and describe them effectively to other developers. 

Essential Requirements:

    • Professional experience programming with modern C++. 
    • Professional experience shipping game(s). 
    • Good Computer Science and maths knowledge. 
    • Good communication skills. 
    • Proactivity. 

Desirable Requirements:

    • Demonstrable experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5. 
    • Demonstrable experience shipping console game(s). 
    • Demonstrable experience implementing multiplayer gameplay programming techniques and methodologies such as latency compensation, state. 
    • synchronisation, and network communications.
