Associate Packaging Engineer

This adventurer assists in the design of packaging used for tabletop game products like Magic:The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons. This role works closely with our suppliers to develop products that exceed our game developer's vision and business needs.

Responsibilities include processing die lines for product packaging ensuring they are appropriate for the suppliers manufacturing the product. This role also supports the engineering team with other aspects of packaging manufacture.

What You’ll Do:

  • Process die lines for manufacturing – validate proper die lines are used in association with appropriate product components for identified vendors. Support appropriate documentation and archival of all die lines. Support development as needed with engineering team in creation of new die lines for new product or vendors, iteration and vetting until approved by identified partners.
  • Actively participate in product development meetings and discussions to determine the best ways to build or test new components, problem solve challenges in development or vendor management and continue to improve product.
  • Build sketches, physical prototypes, and CAD (computer aided drafting) models for proof of concept to support alignment on new product development.
  • Produce detailed technical drawings to communicate design concepts to suppliers.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Associates in industrial design, packaging science or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year experience minimum in production areas including: 3D CAD software such as ArtiosCAD or Solidworks, packaging manufacture, and materials selection.
  • Proficient with Esko ArtiosCAD or Dassault Systemes SolidWorks.
  • Passion for solving problems and bringing amazing products to life.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and multitask.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Be a collaborative, continuous learner who shares knowledge to make others better.
