We are looking for a Character Artist to join our team! As a Character Artist you will be the one responsible for modeling and texturing the characters for our games. You will work closely with our Art, Programming and Animation department to ensure that all characters meet both art direction and technical requirements. A degree in Fine arts, Game Art or equivalent education/experience
1+ years of experience as a Character Artist within the game industry
A portfolio which demonstrates you’re able to create high quality character art for
A portfolio which demonstrates a solid understanding of advanced 3D modeling, UV
mapping and creating textures
Strong understanding of form, shape language and color
Experience with 3D software, preferably Blender, Maya or Zbrush
Understanding of the needs of animation for proper geometry
Experience with texturing in Substance Painter or Photoshop
Experience with working in game engines preferably UE4
A strong understanding of the game development workflows and how they relate to
character asset implementation into game engines
Understanding of how to optimize character art for game projects concerning
console development (Switch, Xbox one, PS4) and/or mobile platforms (Android &
iOS) and PC
Strong understanding of human body and facial anatomy and how this translates to
game assets and topology
Organized, pro active and self motivated
Able to combine your creativity with feedback from Art direction, Producers, co-
workers and clients to create the best possible content
Excellent all-round communication skills
Strong English communication skills in both verbal and written capacity
Experience with rigging bodies and faces on biped characters
A portfolio which demonstrates the ability to work with different art styles
Experience with texturing in Substance Designer
Understanding of shading and materials in UE4 or Unity3D
You’re a quick learner when it comes to new character art creation techniques and
how to apply these techniques
Experience with different development methodologies, experience with Agile and
Waterfall methodology is a plus
