The Opportunity 

Join our team of machine learning engineers, full-stack developers, and technical artists all working to build groundbreaking new products in the domain of character animation!

Your role as a Data Engineer will be to create and run datasets used to train powerful machine learning models for 3D geometry, graphics, and animation.

At Ziva, we have some of the top talents in digital character creation. Together we are building models and algorithms that have the potential to redefine the entire industry!

What you'll be doing

• Design, code, and maintain data pipelines for assembling large, high-quality datasets based on data specifications
• Write tools to analyze, visualize, and evaluate data from a wide variety of sources as it flows through the pipeline
• Understand the importance of clean and organized code, pipeline engineering, scheduling, and a production environment
• Collaborate with engineers and artists with flexibility, efficiency, and empathy.
• Learn, innovate, and challenge. We want to achieve more than what is possible with existing technologies.

What we're looking for

• Experience writing scripts to read, write, transform, analyze, and visualize multimedia data like images, video, audio, 3D geometry, etc.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines
• Good understanding of 3D computer graphics, animation, and machine learning
• Proficiency in Python and ability to learn and integrate new Python packages
• Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and a positive demeanour

You might also have

• Experience building datasets for machine learning and knowledge of ML frameworks and tools
• Experience with cloud infrastructure like AWS or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with compiled programming languages such as C, C++, C#, etc.
