Responsibilities
- Work side by side with research scientists to optimize and integrate cutting edge research into prototypes that demonstrate value and guide roadmaps of future AR/VR products
- Independently identify and execute deep learning model improvements through data analysis and domain knowledge
- Analyze, evaluate, design, develop, integrate, debug and test realtime AR and VR audio software for advanced prototypes and user experiences
- Build software, tools, platforms, infrastructure and documentation that enable research scientists to be more effective and efficient
- Mentor researchers and other team members on software engineering best practices, tips and techniques
- Collaborate in a team environment across multiple scientific and engineering disciplines, making the architectural trade offs required to rapidly deliver software solutions
- Write clean readable code, debug complex problems that span systems, prioritize ruthlessly and get things done with a high level of efficiency
- Learn constantly, dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies, and embrace the ambiguity of AR/VR problem solving
Minimum Qualifications
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field
- Demonstrated proficiency in computational complexity, algorithm design, low level computer architecture, software design
- 3+ years experience with deep-learning frameworks, such as Pytorch or Tensorflow
- Demonstrated experience implementing and evaluating working and end-to-end prototypical learning systems
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python
- Minimum five years of professional programming experience in building real-time, performance sensitive systems
- Experience shipping at least one product of high complexity using standard software development toolsets such as source control and continuous integration systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in digital signal processing or audio programming
- Experience with game engines such as Unreal and Unity
- Familiarity with audio engines such as Wwise or FMOD
- Audioweaver or MATLAB experience
- AR/VR development background
