Integrated in the Consumer & Market Insights team, you will help different Gameloft departments across the world acquire a better understanding of the ever-changing mobile gaming and videogames market. As such your day-to-day activities will vary and you will deliver recommendations based on your knowledge and findings to a large array of internal specialists: editorial team, game creation teams, product & brand marketing, etc. This role is based in Paris. We are looking for a Market and Trends Analyst who is deeply passionate about data driven decisions and transforming raw data into clear actionable business insights as well as investigating cultural trends from the gaming landscape, but not exclusively: some missions will also encompass researching trends in entertainment, tech, consumer product, social & politics, etc.

 

Your everyday missions will include:

  • Work with market intelligence tools & services and analyse large data sets to address strategic and operational business questions
  • Provide actionable recommendations and conclusions from market data to shape features and future product roadmaps
  • Working with trend providers: translating reports into insights and going a step further into investigating the potential of these insights
  • Staying up to date with cultural trends/innovations and bringing these ideas to test
  • Manage a project from A to Z with the support of internal and external toolsets
  • Develop analysis and reporting plans
  • Write clear, inspiring and actionable insight stories for stakeholders using data support
  • Act as the “voice of the market” internally: walk key stakeholders through reports, main POC at HQ to discuss market trend research needs, informal quick debriefs on trends identified by other teams, etc.
  • This role involves working closely with the Editorial team (game concept creation)

Qualifications

Desired skills and experience

  • Proven experience of 3+ years– preferably from a gaming background but not required
  • Proven record of analysing and synthesizing data and information from different sources as well as translating them in simple business language
  • In order to be successful in this position you must be capable of communicating effectively with a wide spectrum of members of the organization
  • Equal parts creative and analytical: you are a naturally curious person who has a passion for data
  • Personal passion for Innovation, Experimentation and Trends
  • Pragmatic problem-solver - someone who looks for solutions rather than worrying about problems
  • Experience working with Looker / Tableau is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge in statistical tools and models is a plus
  • Experience working with a Game Studio or Publisher a plus
  • Passion for gaming across a variety of platforms (mobile, console, PC, esports etc.) from hardcore gamer’s titles to casual social games
  • Completely fluent in English both oral and written
