Proletariat is seeking a Graphics Engineer to join the team on our newest game in development, Spellbreak. This individual will work with engineers and artists to deliver high quality visuals at smooth framerates and budgets in Unreal Engine 4. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, with experience building highly-polished products for demanding audiences.
Responsibilities:
● Platform Tech/Performance Lead for game client
● Primary stakeholder for ensuring platform(s) meet performance and quality expectations
● Work with (Core Tech) Tools team to ensure that we have adequate monitoring and
measurement of performance
● Working with discipline leads to create and enforce performance-oriented standards and
practices for all disciplines (eng, world, vfx, ui, sound, ...)
● Working with Damon and art leads to devise an art tech roadmap (this is big; getting a
jump start on new features and working with production to understand when artists will
need them)
● Helping to prioritize and delegate art tasks
● Mentoring graphics engineers
● There will be a good amount of IC work too; Next gen, raytracing(?), Switch rendering
improvements, better lighting(?), UE upgrade
● Researching and implementing cutting edge rendering features
