Program Manager

At Wizards of the Coast, we connect people around the world through play and imagination. From our genre defining games like Magic: The Gathering® and Dungeons & Dragons® to our growing multiverse, we continue to innovate and build new ways to foster friendship and connection. That’s where you come in!

Are you a motivated, strategic, collaborative and relationship-oriented leader who loves expanding brand and product experiences? We’re looking for a hardworking Program Manager to lead our complex, multi-disciplinary cobrand product efforts for Magic: The Gathering’s Universes Beyond sub-brand.

As a Program Manager, you’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the tradeoffs in product development with game designers and creatives. You will lead the big picture of Universes Beyond development from early-stage ideation to go-to-marketing planning.

What You'll Do:

  • LEAD and facilitate end-to-end program management across all areas of product execution for the entire Universes Beyond portfolio.
  • PARTNER with Business Development, Product Vision, Game Design, Worldbuilding and creative teams defining product strategy, scope and creative vision.
  • ANTICIPATE and adapt to new situations and/or changing demands and respond proactively to studio and business needs.
  • DRIVE program optimization and efficiencies by analyzing studio production performance, derive insights and offer recommendations.
  • DEFINE run, and improve our planning and execution processes and tools, with a focus on scalability, replicability, and information flow in partnership with company-wide producers and cross-functional teams.
  • CRAFT relationships with external partners as a critical member of the Universes Beyond team.

What You'll Bring:

  • You can jump into situations with few guardrails and make things better for your team.
  • You can take broad visions and concepts and develop structured plans, actions, and measurable metrics, and then deliver those plans.
  • Excellent communications skills including: presenting, editing, and writing as well as accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to coach, mentor and lead across cross-functional teams.
  • A growth mindset.
  • Ability to drive projects forward within a highly matrixed organization: the ability to provide clear and concise direction/feedback to partners and the ability to influence others to adopt their recommendations.
  • Passion and a desire to take on increased responsibilities.
