Position Overview

Sports Interactive are looking for a talented QA Lead to work on the Football Manager franchise across all game versions and platforms. As the senior member of QA embedded in the Art and Animation team, you will be responsible for developing, executing and communicating the strategy around testing all art related output produced by the team.

You will join a passionate and flourishing team who care deeply about Football Manager, its quality and accuracy as the world’s leading football management simulation game.

A successful candidate will be a dynamic and self-motivated individual, with excellent communication skills, able to complete work independently as well as part of a team and be a strong coach and mentor for the individuals you would be responsible for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and execute the QA strategy around all output within the Art and Animation QA team for each product release
  • Provide reports to Senior QA Leads and QA Management as well as any other relevant stakeholders on testing progress, highlighting any concerns or risks, and provide constructive feedback where required
  • Provide support to the Art and Animation team where needed in order to promote a bug prevention strategy, either through testing, feedback or via other ad-hoc means
  • Suggest potential opportunities to improve test process across the studio, such as tools or automation to make testing more efficient
  • Be a coach and mentor to the QA team, guiding their growth and development to maximise their potential

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 2-3 years of relevant QA experience, ideally within the games industry
  • Prior academic experience in a relevant art qualification and/or practical experience with art tools such as Substance Painter, 3DStudio Max or Maya, ideally at a professional level
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with all studio disciplines
  • Good coach and mentoring skills to support more junior members of the team and maximise their potential
  • Ability to work in a fact paced, dynamic and collaborative environment
  • Attention to detail
