Solution Engineer, Industry Professional Services

Role description

In order to support our non-gaming customers in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Manufacture sectors, Unity Japan is expanding our solution development team dedicated to building both example and deliverable Unity projects to meet particular customer workflows and requirements. 

Our Industry Professional Services team is working on innovative ways to introduce Unity to these target customers, in addition to creating new technology to enable new solutions, so this position requires a wide variety of knowledge, experience, and willingness to think creatively and boldy.

In particular, we are looking for a candidate who is able to create Unity projects (working independently and with others in the team depending on each project size) and work with customers to support them with practical solutions with Unity including Proof of Concept (POC) projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work both independently and with your team, as well working with the overseas teams to make solutions developed widely available, and delivery of example projects to customers in different fields in Japan
  • Make technical contributions to technologies developed by other teams
  • Work with the Solution Business Development team to advise, pitch and define the scope of solution delivery projects
  • Support Unity events (such as Unite) by developing and delivering talks about the projects that you have developed and the potential for future projects
  • Independently research and study of  information related to core Unity technologies, other topics in the field of computer graphics, and new AEC technologies 

Requirements

  • Experience creating and releasing Applications with Unity, using C# code in Unity runtime and/ or Editor components  
  • Experience developing game or  real-time interactive applications by yourself or in a small team
  • Portfolio of completed Unity based projects/contents that can be shown during the interview
  • Experience of developing for various platforms including XR/ AR/ VR

Bonus points

  • Computer graphics shader creation experience
  • Experience in Unity Scriptable Render Pipeline or wide range of Unity features
  • BIM (Autodesk Revit, Rhinosras, SketchUp...etc) related experience
  • Cloud solution related development experience and/ or knowledge
  • Experience with softwares for Architecture industry
  • Experience and knowledge of Japanese architecture business, market and design technologies
  • Business level Japanese Language Proficiency
