AR/VR | Menlo Park, CA - Seattle, WAFacebook Reality Labs is focused on delivering consumer product packaging for all AR/VR products (Oculus, Portal, Accessories and new devices). We focus on packaging that is sustainable, design-focused, and enhances the customer experience. The packaging team has the responsibility for taking cross-functional inputs to design, develop, and deliver product packaging at scale. The products we work on help connect the world closer together and we contribute one box at a time. Facebook Reality Labs seeks a Technical Program Manager who has experience as a TPM in packaging development and print production. We are looking for a slightly impatient individual willing to face down their fear of failure to accomplish bold things.
Responsibilities
- Technical Program Manager for AR\VR packaging products including Oculus, Portal, accessories and/or new devices
- End-to-end ownership and coordination of packaging engineering, design, and validation from product discovery through launch
- Lead collaboration with industrial design, engineering, creative, legal, product management, compliance and operations to realize packaging vision
- Drive the execution of the schedule and manage the day to day activities of the program
- Contribute to packaging development process improvements and best practices for the organization
- Present program milestones and updates to leadership, distilling key program information and highlighting risks
- Collaborate closely with APAC vendors for packaging builds and press-checks
- 20% international and domestic travel
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on program management experience, driving packaging structural development or print production as an individual contributor
- Experience with consumer electronics design cycles
- Experience working with CM/JDM/ODM partners and packaging suppliers
- BS in mechanical, packaging, or structural engineering or extensive knowledge of packaging manufacturing processes
